The tray no longer shows a raw system error as the license status. A network failure reads "License server unreachable, will retry", is not highlighted, and never locks the app.
Without a network the trial keeps counting down from its stored end date instead of turning into an error line, and a paid license shows "offline" for a 14-day grace period after its last confirmation. Only an answer from the server can lock the app, never a missing connection.
After a failed license check the app retries after 15 s, 30 s, 1 min, 2 min, 5 min and then every 15 minutes, and checks again at once when the network comes back or the Mac wakes.
